My Makeup Bag // Gym Bag Life Changing Products

Hello lovelies!

I have a secret, I am obsessed with finding out what is inside someone else’s makeup bag. Finding new favorites and discovering life changing products is so much fun. Here are my current obsessions for a quick morning routine after a yoga or booty boot camp class.

Hair Care //Jennyface-Gym-Makeup-Bag-Haircare

Living Proof Full Shampoo, Conditioner, Full Root Spray, Full Styling Cream. This little concoction is my new best friend. The texture of my hair is fine but have quite a bit. Thanks to a miracle molecule MIT professionals created, their products give your hair results and without the weight of heavy oils, silicones or fillers. I have a good hair day every day with Living Proof. The Full products leave my hair smelling lovely and am guaranteed to have the full mane this Leo desires. Did you know Jennifer Aniston is the new face of the company. Go big or go home!

Tangle Teezer is my favorite brush that does the job with no tears. This brush is fantastic with wet hair especially because is will not pull or tear the hair. I love how it gets out my gnarly tangles and I am smiling the entire time.

Skincare //

Jennyface-Gym-Makeup-Bag-Skincare1. Cleanse with Ole Henriksen’s Truth to go wipes. The convenience of a quick wipe is smart for this girl on the go. The scent reminds me of a creamsicle and the way my skin glows afterwards is so fresh and clear. It helps wake up my skin with the citrus and calms my red Irish skin with aloe. It even removes eye makeup effortlessly.

2. Serum Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu, a powerful anti aging step that brightens, tightens and lightens my skin.

3. Moisturize with Ole Henriken’s Sheer Transformation. This oil free hydrator is light, comforting and brightens with Vitamin C. My skin looks clearer and feels comfortable all day. Philosophy Miracle Worker Eye Cream is perfect for hydration and plumps up my skin, reducing the look of fines lines and makes my concealer look fresh and not crease.

Makeup //

Jennyface-Gym-Makeup-Bag-MakeupTarte Amazonian Clay Foundation is a long-wear product that gives my skin flawless coverage with a soft velvety finish. SPF 15 gets bonus points since that is such an important step in my anti aging routene. Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon is a great multitasker for cheeks and lips and the color is such a soft fresh pink that looks pretty on my light skin tone.  Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara builds my lashes to the point they look rediculusly fake. Gotta love a formula that stays wet while building coat after coat to lengthen, thicken and even curl.

Body Care //

Blog-Gym-Makeup-Bag-BodycareCaudalie Body Wash & Body Lotion. I love to pamper my skin with this grapevine derived treat that is a powerful anti aging ritual with resveratrol (Dr Oz loves to talk about this ingredient). The scent is soft with vine blossom, delicate melon, white rose, and pink pepper and leaves my skin so soft and deliciously velvety. Simply gorgeous. Dove cucumber deodorant has such a lovely scent and does a great job at keeping me dry all day.

What are your must have, life changing products?

Have a lovely day!

Mad Men Obsessed // Cheers!

Happy Mad Men Day! Finally my favorite show is back on TV, Mad Men on AMC. I am always drooling over what outfit Joan is wearing or what lipstick Betty is wearing. The styling is so on point. Do you notice yourself wanting a drink while watching this series? They make it look so sexy. While watching I always want to pour a pretty drink in a fancy tumbler with lots of ice.

Wanda

My go to cocktail is simple, a dirty martini. Blue Cheese stuffed olives will get you extra points though…

Cheers!

Flower Crowns, Hoola Hoops and You. // Amalie + Eric get hitched.

Amalie + Eric got married on her childhood playground, the rolling, gorgeous hills of Western Wisconsin. Their wedding was a highlight of my bridal season last year. I ADORE laidback weddings with a twist of hip.

As for her makeup and hair, she wanted to look like the prettiest version of herself everyday. Amalie’s signature is crisp, black liner and bronzy skin. I love her cute freckles and amazing smile. Her stunning dress was from BHLDN and flower crown was from Daffodil Parker. The vintage necklace was from her Great Aunt, Amalie.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the VERY MUCH in love, Amaile + Eric. I just love how IN LOVE these two are. Photos by ANDA MARIE the great.

My Makeup Bag // Winter Glowing Skin

Hello, Lovelies! I adore finding new products to explore and play with. These are a few of my personal must haves for my quick face routine. (My skin type is combination and love a fresh, dewy complexion. I prefer my skin to look like i just finished putting on moisturizer.) **These products might not be the best suited for everyone. These are just my favorites for this time of year.

winter glowing skin winter glowing skin

1. Makeup Forever // FACE & BODY. This lightweight, waterproof formula looks like tinted moisturizer with a gorgeous glowey finish. The formulation is really quite unique… you have to shake it up a bit and then apply with fingers until dry into the skin or use an airbrush. I apply another layer around my chin and nose for just a bit more coverage.

2. Makeup Forever // PRO > FINISH powder with their #110 brush. This is their newest addition to the foundation family. I’m obsessed with how this powder melts into my skin and even gives my under eye a boost without looking cakey.

3. MUFE // #110 BRUSH IS AMAZING! I am all about tools. By far this is my favorite face brush for this product. It’s so easy. load the brush and sweep through my face press and roll the brush starting in the center of my face and roll down.**TIP get a shade that looks a little light, they dry around 2 shades darker.

4. Bobbi Brown // Touch up Palette. Ok, this is just genius design. I should write a post about this product alone. That is how much this thing rocks. Open the compact to six little holes all for your creamy products. Mine houses:
-Amazing Concealer – Bobbi Brown 2.5 Stick – Bobbi Brown light bisque – a creamy nude lip balm – a fun pop of color that I use both on cheek or lip – pot rouge in a mauve – brown.

5. Guerlain // Cils D’enfer Mascara. Gorgeous, sleek packaging. Black is rich and makes my lashes look long, thick and not at all clumpy. Quick drying formula helps to lift and curl my lashes.

Ok, so those are a few of my favorites now this winter season. More to come with my skincare favorites.  What is in your makeup bag?

Happy Thursday!

Happy Friday // Amalie + Eric are on Green Wedding Shoes!

Today I am feeling really blessed. One of my most favorite weddings this season was published today on Green Wedding Shoes. Amalie has the most wonderful friends and family not to mention guy she married. I loved her spirit, smile, laugh and relaxed style that suited them both so perfectly. Her dress was crazy amazing and I really feel the need to wear a flower crown almost daily. Hey, I’m a Leo, what can I say! The images were shot by Anda Marie Photography who I have the pleasure of working with on a regular basis. Anda is the real deal and as you can see her pictures tell a beautiful story. More images to come but check out the link to see a whole lot of pretty.

Have a great weekend. I need to talk to Kayla from Daffodil Parker to create a crown for me. Maybe I will be wearing one out sometime very soon…. hmmm.

Soon to be California Girl // Me Moments

Hello, Lovelies!

So, here it goes again… I’m back to blogging. My hiatus has been filled with makeup and moving. My address is soon going to be a version of 90210… eeeek!! I cannot wait to be an official California girl in 2013.

Because of that, I am all about listening to what that little voice is saying to me. “Enjoy the little things, Carpe Diem, I’m soon to be a Cali Girl, Live the Good Life, Jenny”. These are all swirling in my head lately. My days are numbered as a Wisconsin resident and I really need to take advantage of every last drop of my days off and moments in between appointments and obligations.

Today was a lovely warm fall day full of “me moments”. Lately I have been trying to discover how to slow down and savor little moments while the world is speeding past. Currently I am embarking on a 30 day hot yoga challenge and on day 16. I have never slept better, skin glowing and radiant, energy higher, cobwebs clearer between my ears, french fry cravings gone (mostly) and not one bit seasonally depressed. Hey, I’m still living in Wisconsin and it is the end of November and the two loves of my life, Jason and Peanut Kitten are 2200 miles away in San Diego (my soon to be home!)

This afternoon I had the most amazing facial by my good friend, Michelle Jinkins, of MIREJI. My sluggish 30+ year old skin needed a little TLC and she was just the girl to give my skin the boost and glow I am seriously always craving. She started with a micro-plane treatment to help all the products penetrate better. After doing half of my face, I looked in the mirror and felt my skin, I was completely astonished how butter soft and smooth my skin felt. She then did a light peel and oxygen facial. Michelle told me this treatment is what Madonna and fashion week models have done before their shows. Wow, ok, SOLD! She gave me a few more treatments to help with less breakouts, pigmentation and boost collagen. I seriously loved how my skin looked and felt afterwards. This is absolutely something I would highly recommend to all my future brides and past brides to give you a little glow before a special event or just because you deserve it. Give her a jingle, you will be happy you look 10 years younger (608) 250-5060.

Have a lovely weekend! What are you doing for your “me moments’?
